The Birth of
Rebekah Nicole Stevens

Date: June 23, 2006
Time: 12:23 PM
Weight: 7 pounds
Height: 19 3/4 inches

Rebekah had a rough ride into this world. She was born face first instead of head first. I guess she was just eager to get out of that cramped space. Because of her method of exit, Rebekah's face was bruized on her cheeks and chin. Her lips were also very swolen for the first day. The doctors' said that it would heal within a few days. Already a day later, the swolen lips are back to normal and her cheecks and chin are nice and pink.

After her arrival, many friends, family and church members came to visit her at the hospital. At the end of visiting hours, she was introduced to her siblings (Jacob, Rachel and Naomi Grace). They were estatic that she was finally here. They each took turns holding her and rubbing her soft hair and skin. She got a good night's sleep the first night in the hospital and only cried one time through the night. She seems to be a very peaceful baby and pretty quiet most of the time.

Rebekah is now home and is doing well. We are blessed of the Lord to have our fourth and final child. May the Lord bless her and use her in a wonderful way to serve Him.
